Little dittle

This week was a fantastic week!

These past two weeks ive been a little down emotionally but as I mentioned last week, the more I give to the lord/work, the better I feel. im finally to the point that i can give all in to the work.

This week i set a goal to speak 100% spanish, except to people who dont speak spanish until the End of my mission, its been going great! My companion is fluent so its been great practice!

We made a deal that anytime I say something in English my comp says: ¿Que dijiste? And then I need to say the same thing again in spanish.

The work has been going great! I love the bikes and we have seen so many miracles just from being on bikes and from talking to EVERYONE

My favorite thing ever is seeing how the spirit tesrifies to people. The way their eyes open in a way they dont even understand, when we testify of the gospel of Jesus Christ that has been restored through the profet Joseph Smith.

Even when we are rejected i know that people feel the truth!

My other favorite thing is getting to know people and hearing their stories and finding how the Gospel can truly bless them and their lives!

This District Leader thing has been going pretty fun! Im trying my best to learn from everything and everyone!

I love getting to know the Elders and Sisters in my District they are Fantastic missionaries! I learn so much from them ALL!

We had a great exchange with Elder Frost he is a big Gringo but grew up in Japan! He is one of the nicest goofiest persons ever,

He taught me to "force yourself to be joyful" I tried it and it truly works!

I invite you all to do the same,

Be joyful!, pray!, read the Scriptures! And go to church! That right there is the succes to joy in this life.

I love you all, im so grateful for my mistakes because I am doing my best and learning

Also My companion is such a huge blessing i love him! Shout out to Elder Larriva!

No mistakes, only learning!

Ive been thinking a lot about my past failures, mistakes, embarassments, etc.

And realizing how much I have changed, and been improved.
I still make so many mistakes but ive learned this week. its all about our perspective, there are no mistakes just learning.

Ive been thinking of some really really dumb things ive done in the past and i was wishing i never ever did that and it grieved me, but now i switched my perspective and now Im grateful for my mistakes because thats how we grow, thats how we learn... failure+posotiveness+willingness to change=growth!

My companion is seriously the biggest answer to prayers,. He is a very hardworker and is always striving to learn and become better. That is something I truly admire and im striving to become like him.

Especially now as District Leader im trying to do my best to learn from everyone always!

Something incredible, happened!

There are 10 missionaries in my district and I am the ONLY one from Utah! We have elders and sisters from: japan, california, mexico, chile, washington, texas and puerto rico.
Super nuts!
It makes me so excited that the true kindgom of God has reached so wide that the little utah boy is outnumbered
9-1!!!

This week Elder Larriva and I did our best to spend as much time as we could out in the area and we saw many miracles and success. But we didnt do nearly as well as we could have, we are always striving to do better and be better,

I came up with a saying for my district:

"Nunca hemos hecho suficiente"

"We have never done enough"

2 nephi 29:9

And I do this that I may prove unto many that I am the same yesterday, today, and forever; and that I speak forth my words according to mine own pleasure. And because that I have spoken one word ye need not suppose that I cannot speak another; FOR MY WORK IS NOT YET FINISHED; neither shall it be until the end of man, neither from that time henceforth and forever.

I think im finally to the point of my mission where im ready to forget myself, give up everything and focus 100% on the Lord and on the People here!

Once i decided to do that, the work became easy, the work became fun! And now i never want it to end.

This week we found 3 member families who arent alll members so GOLD MINE!
This week are going to focus on discipline: discipline with, Time, Goals, and (for me food) obedience. So that we can be 100% submitted to and guided by the Lord!

Im so happy to be on bikes again,
Ive missed it!
Its been cloudy and cool super refreshing perfect weather. Although the air in some places is like weed/piss/beer smell but there are some nice clean areas too!

Man i love the people here!
A skill ive been able to develop here is people skills! Talking with people is one of the funnest things to do, getting to know them, hearing their stories, and building them up!

Transfer Time!

Holy smokes!

Transfers were on saturday anf I have been asigned to work in a higher capacity

President ask me to be district leader trainer!

Just about crapped my pants,

Best part is im on bikes and my new campanion is the awesomeest, bestest, diligentest, obedientest, kindest, honestest, most great person ever!

His name is Elder Larriva!

He was born in Ecuador but lived in utah for 11ish years, he is in his 7th week in the mission, so not quite super green but still pretty fresh.
We get along quite amazingly and I learn so much from him!

Being district leader is a whole new kind of thing, I expressed an Idea that was diferent excpecting it to be shot down, and they all accepted it and liked it so that was really cool!. I guess when you are district leader people listen to you and rely on you for guidance

Something really interesting about it is no body gave me a training on how to be a district leader, all president told me was: be a good boy, be obedient, follow the spirit and it will go great.

In my new apartment we live with the Zone Leaders, holy they are so nice!
I asked them: what do I need to do for my district. They said: its your district, follow the spirit and it will go great!
So ima do my best to stay humble, kind and patient; and it will go great woohoo!

So its my responsability to do all the things this time around.

I am district leader over our zone leaders and assistants to the president!
Also! my trainer: Elder Robledo recently was asigned AP so i have a pretty sweet district this transfer!

The new area is awesome!
Nice and flat and filled with latinos!
The members here are all super cool as well

Yesterday we felt guided to a park
And got to play a quick game of basketball with some dudes
We got their phone numbers and they said they will come to the ward activity this tuesday!

Ok sorry dont got much, I love you all so much, im so grateful for you alll!

My companion got arrested

That title is not true,

Although my companion has the desire to get arrested. And i wanna catch a lizard so there ya go

This week flew flew flew,
We have a small group of solid people we are teaching,

Rona: who is very gay but suprisingly super interested and progressing

Jacob: hes 13, we baptised his grandparents a month or two ago, he is coming along, he is starting to understand the importance of the gospel
He is a super goofball. he gets along way too well with my companion and likes to punch my companion. So usually its me who teaches him everything because also my companion falls asleep during lessons so that super fun and we love it!

Lilian: we dont have her address yet and she is SOO busy we can never teach her.
Although she shows up to church every week so thats awesome!

Yesterday we found 3 new friends! And gave away three book of mormons. super success! Ill give updates on how those new home boys are doing soon
Vicente, Gabriel, and Ramiro

All three of these dudes are so ready and so accepting to the Gospel, such miracles!

We found a few more Jehova Witness, JDuBS! Man they can talk your ear off!
And they still cant tell me how to be saved, because supposedely they arent even saved themselves!

Hows that for ambition.

My favorite thing this week about missionary work is the people!
Human beings have SO much vareity, mean ones, people who mock you, insult you, kind ones, super loving ones, rad ones, ALL kinds
We have found some super cool people with super rad personalities

I also love talking to random people in public! Whenever I can i will walk right up to someone and talk to them, my companion hates it but i do it anyway, and thats how weve found lots of people so!

This week we will have transfers,
We will get word thursday and saturday will be the changes.

So ill let ya know what goes on!

Biggest thing i learned this week again, is how truly true this gospel is,
Because if it wasnt true, teenage missionaries would have destroyed it along long time ago

I love you all take care
Im so grateful for you human beings
Be safe, love one another

Everyday I am striving to be kinder and more loving just like Jesus

Love Elder Sandyberg
