Dont worry be happy

Dont worry be happy is an interesting principle, there are many things in life that are frustrating, full of contention, strife, pain, sadness, and many other negative things,

Its all a choice, it is your choice to be happy or miserable, when all is against you, the best way to sock satan in the Jaw is to put on a smile and choose to be happy!

I have developed a great skill of listening and resolving problems by talking and talking to fix and sooth relationships, find common ground and find solutions!
I have also recived the ability to choose not to be tired, at the beggining of my mission and even before that I was ALWAYS so exhausted, I expressed this to our mission president, he gave me some great council, in D and C which i totally forgot where, (somewhere in DC 121) which basically said, if we have the spirit and live rightously we will be sanctified even to the replenishing of our bodies!:

We had transfers! Im still District leader and I stayed with Elder Díaz, we are really stoked to jeep on chuggin along! Choo choo!

We had a great week!
Not very high numbers although we have 5 five people on baptism date! We are super stoked about that!

We set two yesterday with Oscar and Andre, the are papá e hijo! They are very excited to keep learning and progressing towards their date of Oct 15!

We found a total of 1 persons this week his name is Javier, Although we have been doing our best to Talk to EVERYONE i am beginning to Love talking to people: getting to know them, learning their names and backrounds.

I love people! They are our fellow brothers and sisters who all chose the same plan we did, to come here and one day make it back home with our Heavenly Father.

Although we only "found" one person, Javier is very accepting and excited to learn! This week we also planted a very large ammount of seeds which will grow and grow so that one day, future missionaries will be able to reap the harvest!!

Elder Díaz and I have started focusing on building up the members, this doesnt see lots of numbers very quickly right away but in the long term I think it is the right move.

We have also been building up our English Class for the Ward, its been so fun! Its mostly members right now but we had someone named Yosmari who came to learn who isnt a member, because she saw our social media post! And all the members were greeting her and inviting her to church it was awesome!

Thanks for the support! I love you all!
Keep chuggin along till the end! Choo choo!

Side note on friday I will have 11 months more, bruh, whos counting...... not me!!!
I only get 11 months left...... sadness
Anyway peace out+

¡Que Chismoso! Dont worry be happy

August 14, 2023
"El albedrío es lo que hace la obra dificil... pero es lo que hace la obra Maravillosa!"

Agency is what makes the work hard... but it is exactly what makes it wonderful!!!   -Abner Aviles, (the wise)

This week was full of ups and downs, there were 2 solid days where I got really sad, stressed, and frustrated with myself and my imperfections

to be worthy does not mean to be perfect. Heavenly Father's plan of happiness invites us to be humbly at peace on our lifes journey to someday become perfected in Christ, not constantly worried, frustrated, or unhappy in our imperfections today.
-Neil L Anderson

I quite like this thought, as small as negativity may seem it drives deep and penatrates the soul! Negativity comes in many forms, sarcasm, sad jokes, snark comments, ¡¡¡Gossip!!!, and many more little things. There are many things that bring negativity and it hurts people, even if the comment was made to their backs.

As president russel m nelson says, let us be peace makers,

All the days this week that I struggled to be happy, as soon as I got up, chose to keep swimming, we were guided to helping someone! This was probably one of the Hardest weeks of the mission, yet I think it was one of the BEST weeks of the mission! I havent ever felt so much Joy yet so much pain in one week!

I cant describe the feeling of helping someone understand the message of the restored Gospel, it is beyond anything else, because it is the truest message there is!

This week we found 13 people!
4 of them are a family from africa who sorda speak english!

2 others we met are named Marcos and Eric, these two had great insights and are learning a lot!

A sister in the ward named sister moreira, is a sweetheart and such an amazing example, we knocked her door to see if she would bw free to come knocking a door with us, she was in her regular clothes. At the instint she heard our request she ran inside changed and came out with a long flowy dress and her BOM! It was great! [she is the wife of David, the older Gentlemen with the Cars in their backyard]

Speaking of David, we havent had much luck, and hes not too interested :(( this again breaks my heart because the Gospel is so very important to his Wife and yet he wants nothing to do with it.

We met this sweet 24 yr old Kid with down syndrome, he speaks pure spanish and hes the most hilarious little guy ever, he came knocking doors with us! And hes not even a member, yet...

My companion is almost able to ride without hands!!!

I love you all thqnks for the support, just keep swimming

Oh! By the way tomorrow marks my 1 year mark!!!

Anyway, much love

Hpwdy!

July 31, 2023

Not much time this week, but heres some pictures!

Once again im the last gringo from utah!

July 24, 2023

We had transfers!

My new companion is Elder Díaz!
He is from Chile and has about 16 months on the mission. we still live with the Zone leaders: Elder Amaya whonis from venizuela, and Elder Dias who is from brazil.
so since transfers ive spoken 2 or 3 licks of English!
Im still district leader in the same area on bikes and Im loving it!

My new companion served in this area about a year ago so at church i was introducing him to all the members but they were all like ohhhhh Elder diaz you're back!

I am very excited to be with Elder Diaz
Hes a great missionary im already learning tons from him!

One of the highlights from the week was saturday, so we have this sweet adorable abuela in the ward (well we got tons of em)
Anyway her name is sister moreira and her husband is not a member, everytime we go over there he scurries off into his own room!
Although a week or two ago we found out that the husband collects and fixes up old cars. Hes got 5 or 6 of em!!!

196osum toyota mark two
70s spitfire
60ssum datsun 280zx
A sweet old ford which I forget the name and a few others!

So on saturday we felt inspired to visit this sweet couple.
There they were, sitting on the porch having a nice chill!

We waved and greeted them, and sure enough there went the husband scurrying off! The sister stood up and chatted with us for a bit, she told us we she just got back from the temple she also noted how mucha privelidge it is to live so close to the temple, for her it takes 30-90 mins just to get to the LA temple. She expressed her love for the temple, (I Love the temple too! And its even more of a privilidge to have one in my back yard back in Utah!)

She also expressed how much she longed to be able share the temple with her sweetheart husband, this, broke my heart,,, so i asked: do you think your husband could show us his cars out back? (Cuz for those who know me well im obsessed with cars and trucks and breaking things and then fixing things,,,the sister knows this too!)

Anyway she jumped up and thought that was a fantastic Idea!!! She got so excited and gitty spun around and ran inside, than out came david! David and I talked eachother's ears off for 10-20 minutes about car sweetness!!! Even cooler was I was able to pull it off in spanish!
As we were talking the sister would poke her cute little head out to watch us, she had the biggest smile! We then got davids phone number which was a miracle and we might see some service hours in the next week.

Later at church we talked to the sister and she was excited to thank us for being able to talk to her husband,
Latet that sunday after Church Luis was Baptised!!! It was a great baptism, the baptismal room was PACKed with members supporting him!

Man! everyday I have so many awesome and great experiences! And I cant write em all here but I am learning so much! I am humbled everyday, and I make so many mistakes but thats how we learn!
Im loving this work! Its the best there is

Best things I learned this week

1:Magnify your calling

2:the best Leaders are the best Followers and supporters

3: if you always speak from the heart and be true to yourself aswell as those around you, life is good, life is fun, life is happy :)) people are happy

I listened to a talk this morning from Dallin H Oaks and he said something like: when we focus less on blessing our selves and more to bless the lives of others is when the revelation truly comes

Im grateful for this chance I have to bw a missionary here, its Hard a lot, but its so worth it! Im learning so much!
Almost 50xs a day we see people with frowny faces :( and as soon as we wave and say "hey have a great day!" It instintly changes that frown upside down!

I loving seeing people smile, all the stress lf the world just disapears when we simply breath, and smile :))

I love you all so much
Take care! God has a plan for EVERYBODY!

2 Nefi 26:33
John 16:33
Romans 8: 38-39

Peace out home boys and home girls!

This week is sponsored by turtles

We saw a lot of turtles this week

Turtles, a lot like Jesus, go about doing good, we can learn a lot and go about doing good ourselves!

Ive learned 3 things very important this week

1:Listen, listen when you talk, listen when you walk, listen when you sit, Listen when you go to church, listen when you go to district council, listen when you sleep, listen always always always,
Listen to people, listen to surroundings and listen to the spirit.
This has blessed me a lot!

2:there are ALOT of people and they are ALL beloved sons and daughters of God!

3:stressing about anything is pointless

This week i hit 11 months! Time flys quick! What really struck me was the fact that I only have 13 months left, which kinda freaks me out because it felt like yesterday i had 24 months left

This week we had a great week!
We found 7 new people.
set another baptism date with our friend Olga and our friend luis will be baptised this sunday!

This past week we got to go through the temple! That was such a blessing!
Take advantage of those temples they bless your life. :))

We have been working hard biking in the heat, its starting to get a little toasty now Weve have been talking to everyone and have seen many miracles with that!

Im loving this work! It is the most amazing thing there is!
Also guess what!.. mom,.. I bought sunscreen and use it with my own free will and choice :))
Im changing and becoming a better person, evryday little by little

Its my companions last week of his first two transfers, Im excited.for him and his future!

All the people I have met are such blessing to the world, i am so very grateful for them and my family! And all my friends

Scriptures:
Mosiah 2:17
Alma 37:41
Alma 32:28-30

Oitle shlop joiytle

Happy fourth of JULY (Almost)

This week was full of ups

We found 3 people this week,
Juan, gisele and julio

Juan, we found him chilling with his dog on a bench, and we just sat down with him.
We talked to him shared our purpose and exchanged numbers,
We then passed by sunday and there he was, we shared the restoration with him and gave him a Book Of Mormon,

Gisele is the sister of an inactive member named mike. They are both very sweet and nice

Julio was a great miracle, hes one of the most normal people ive met!
I know that sounds wierd but there are a lot of kookoo heads around these parts.
We found him on his porch and most of his family are members. We set a return date with him, went back on tuesday and there he was with his son waiting for us.
It was very lindo.

Because usually people say ohhh sure you can come by this day, and they are never there.

Ive started running consistently in the mornings, biking during the day and a bit of weights at night.
One Elder told me something in the begining of my mission thag stuck with me: "Elder, you're gonna lose your motivation to excercise", I took that to heart and im gonna prove him wrong!

We also have a friend named luis whos got a baptism date set for 22 of july so in 3 weeks, he is understanding little by little the importance of the BOM, and he is starting to apply the Gospel of Jesus Christ in his life!

We did an exchange with Elder Silva hes a sweet kid who knows everything, i love him to death, the picture of us biking explains him well haha

This week we could see that we were truly guided into the right places!
As long as we be good boys and good girls; and keep our covenants god will guide us right where we need to be :)

This saturday I was able to visit the baptism of one of my old friends in my last area named Jacob, I was only in that area for 3 months and didn't really think I made a big difference but all the members I talked to we're very excited to see me and even Jacob who was baptized was very excited to see me!

More than 3 months ago I had the amazing opportunity to baptize gerardo (jacobs grandpa) and last saturday i got to witness gerardo baptize his grandson: Jacob, it was such a tender moment! I almost began to cry, but im becoming a man so that wasnt an option.

Anyway

I love you all
Take care be safe
Love one another :))
